In the picturesque town of Karlovac, a carefully curated blend of culture, science, nature and relaxed socialising awaits you. We will stroll through the historic old town centre, surrounded by parks and no fewer than four rivers (the Kolpa/Kupa, Korana, Mrežnica and Dobra). Nikola Tesla, a genius of world renown, also lived and studied in Karlovac for four years. We will visit the modern Nikola Tesla Experience Centre, where interactive content and innovative presentations encourage team thinking and foster creativity. At Aquatica – the Freshwater Aquarium, we will discover the riches of the freshwater world. There are over 100 species of fish on display, including sturgeons, carp, pike, catfish, grass carp and others, some of which grow to human size. As befits a city of water, we will round off the day on the River Kolpa with a trip on a replica of a traditional grain barge, where we will also enjoy lunch whilst sailing.
